The Pandemic and the Independent

The Provincetown Independent began publishing less than a year ago, in response to a national trend which saw all but two of the Cape’s local newspapers gobbled up and gutted by private equity corporations. But they were doing just fine until the pandemic hit. Here’s what happened.
